From 6 weeks gestation. 

The purpose of an Early Pregnancy Scan is to:

• Confirm heart beat

• Confirm gestation of pregnancy

• Identify single or multiple pregnancy

• Provide reassurance.

Please note:

Early dating/viability scans can be performed from as early as 6 weeks into your pregnancy. We do not perform pregnancy scans prior to 6 weeks gestation as we may not be able to confirm fetal heartbeat due to early gestation. Prior to 8 weeks, you may require a trans-vaginal scan (internal) to confirm your babies heart beat.
